Installation





BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: BRAKE ACTUATOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET

NOTICE:
When installing a new brake actuator, do not remove the hole plug before connecting the brake tube. New actuators are filled with brake fluid.

(a) Install the actuator with bracket with the 3 nuts.





Torque : 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Tighten the 3 nuts uniformly in alphabetical order.
* Be careful not to damage the brake tubes.
* Do not drop the actuator. If dropped, replace it.

(b) Attach the 2 new clamps to the bracket.

2. CONNECT BRAKE LINES

(a) Set each brake line in the correct position on the brake actuator as shown in the illustration.





HINT
* *1: to front wheel RH
* *2: to front wheel LH
* *3: to rear wheel RH
* *4: to rear wheel LH
* *5: from master cylinder

(b) Using a union nut wrench, tighten each brake line.

Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

3. CONNECT CONNECTOR

(a) Connect the connector and push the lock lever downward.

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

7. CHECK BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WITH TECHSTREAM
