Installation





BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE PEDAL: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL PAD

2. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the 4 nuts and tighten them in the order shown in the illustration.





Torque : 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Do not damage the brake lines or fuel lines.

(b) Install the bolt to the support.

for A Type - Torque : 24 Nm (241 kgf-cm, 17 ft-lbf)

for B Type - Torque : 14 Nm (140 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

3. CONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to the push rod pin.

(b) Install the push rod clevis with the push rod pin and a new clip.

(c) Install the brake pedal return spring.

4. INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

6. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
