DOOR / HATCH: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

HINT
A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Tie the string that was passed through the engine compartment to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

(b) Pull the string until the hood lock control cable grommet contacts the dash panel, and then connect the 5 clamps to install the cable.

2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

(b) Attach the 3 claws to install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
Make sure the cable inside the cabin does not interfere with the clutch pedal, link or accelerator pedal.

3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.

(b) Connect the hood lock control cable.

(c) Install the hood lock with the 3 bolts.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH

(a) Install the front fender liner Installation.

5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER Installation

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
