B1451 - Compressor Solenoid Circuit
DESCRIPTION
In this circuit, the compressor assembly with pulley receives a refrigerant compression demand signal from the air conditioning amplifier assembly.
Based on this signal, the compressor changes the amount of compressor output.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REGULATOR CONTROL CURRENT)
(a) Use the Data List to check if the compressor assembly with pulley is functioning properly Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
Air Conditioner
OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition column.
C -- INSPECT COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY
B -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal
A -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
2. INSPECT COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY
(a) Remove the compressor assembly with pulley Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the B8 compressor connector.
(b) Disconnect the C32 amplifier connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal
