Installation

BRAKE: BRAKE BOOSTER: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY





(a) Install a new grommet onto the brake booster assembly.

(b) Install the vacuum check valve onto the brake booster assembly.

2. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Provisionally install the push rod clevis onto the brake booster assembly.

HINT
Tighten the push rod lock nut when adjusting the brake pedal height.

(b) Install a new gasket onto the brake booster assembly.

(c) Install the brake booster assembly with the 4 nuts in the sequence shown in the illustration.





Torque : 13 Nm (129 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Do not damage the brake tubes.

(d) Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum check valve with the clip.

6. CONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR TUBE (for Manual Transaxle) Installation

7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL Installation

9. INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK Installation

10. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH Installation

11. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Installation

12. INSTALL HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL Installation

13. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Installation

14. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Installation

15. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM COVER Installation

16. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Service and Repair

17. BLEED MASTER CYLINDER Service and Repair

18. BLEED BRAKE LINE Service and Repair

19. BLEED BRAKE ACTUATOR Service and Repair

20. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR Service and Repair

21. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK

22. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL Adjustments

23. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
