SUSPENSION: REAR SHOCK ABSORBER: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are the LH side.
1. REMOVE REAR WHEELS
2. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
3. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER CUSHION RETAINER
(a) Support the spring seat of the rear axle beam assembly using a jack and wooden block.
NOTICE: Do not excessively jack up the rear axle beam assembly.
HINT: Support the rear shock absorber at a position where it compresses by approximately 20 to 30 mm (0.78 to 1.18 in.).
(b) Using a socket hexagon wrench (6 mm), secure the rear shock absorber rod and remove the lock nut.
(c) Remove the rear shock absorber cushion retainer.
4. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION SUPPORT
(a) Remove the rear suspension support.
5. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt while holding the nut and remove the rear shock absorber.
6. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SPRING BUMPER
