SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Service Precautions.
HINT: The procedure described below is for the RH side. Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides, unless otherwise specified.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE Removal
3. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE Removal
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip to the extent that the center pillar upper and lower garnish can be removed.
5. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip to the extent that the center pillar upper and lower garnish can be removed.
6. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH Removal
7. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP

(a) Pull portion A, shown in the illustration, toward you, remove the 2 claws on the lower side followed by the claw on the upper side. Then remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.
8. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover RH.
9. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover LH.
10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disconnect the seat belt tension sensor connector.
(b) Disengage the wiring harness clamp.

(d) Remove the bolt and the through anchor.

(e) Disconnect the pretensioner connector.
(1) Using a screwdriver, release the locking button.
(2) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the pretensioner connector.

(f) Remove the 2 bolts, the 2 hooks and the retractor.
11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the bolt and the anchor plate.

(b) Remove the bolt and the through anchor.

(c) Disconnect the pretensioner connector.
(1) Using a screwdriver, release the locking button.
(2) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the pretensioner connector.

(d) Remove the 2 bolts, the 2 hooks and the retractor.
12. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH Removal
13. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the shoulder belt anchor cover.
14. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, the hook and the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster.
