2AZ-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FAN SHROUD





(a) Install the fan shroud with the 2 bolts onto the radiator.
Torque: 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
2. INSTALL OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE





(a) Install the radiator hose as shown in the illustration.
3. INSTALL INLET RADIATOR HOSE





(a) Install the inlet radiator hose as shown in the illustration.
(b) Install the hose clamp onto the fan shroud.
4. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT
(a) Install the 2 radiator supports onto the radiator.
5. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Set the radiator onto the vehicle.
(b) Connect the 2 oil cooler hoses onto the radiator. (for Automatic Transaxle)
6. INSTALL CONDENSER Installation
7. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY Installation
8. INSTALL DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
9. CONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE





(a) Connect the No. 1 water by-pass hose onto the radiator.
10. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN SHROUD





(a) Install the No. 2 fan shroud with the 2 bolts onto the radiator.
Torque: 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)





(b) Connect the 2 fan motor connectors.
11. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION





(a) Install the 2 radiator support cushions onto the No. 2 fan shroud.
12. CONNECT OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE





(a) Connect the outlet radiator hose as shown in the illustration.
13. CONNECT INLET RADIATOR HOSE





(a) Connect the inlet radiator hose as shown in the illustration.
(b) Engage the heated oxygen sensor wire harness clamp.
14. INSTALL HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the hood lock support with the 4 bolts onto the radiator support cushion.
Torque: 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)
(b) Connect the 2 hone connectors.
15. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the hood lock control cable as shown in the illustration.
(b) Engage the clamp onto the hood lock support.
16. INSTALL NO. 1 WATER HOSE CLAMP BRACKET





(a) Install the No. 1 water hose clamp bracket with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)
(b) Connect the 2 water hoses as shown in the illustration.
17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER Installation
18. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE Installation
19. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH Installation
20. INSTALL BATTERY





(a) Install the battery tray.
(b) Install the battery and battery insulator.





(c) Install the battery carrier with the bolt and nut.
Bolt - Torque: 17 Nm (168 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)
Nut - Torque: 3.5 Nm (35 kgf-cm, 31 in-lbf)





(d) Connect the positive and negative terminals.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
21. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
22. CHARGE REFRIGERANT Service and Repair
23. WARM UP ENGINE Service and Repair
24. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection
25. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK Service and Repair
26. INSTALL HOOD Installation
27. INSPECT HOOD Adjustments
28. ADJUST HOOD Adjustments
