BRAKE: BRAKE BOOSTER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTICE: Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.

2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM COVER Removal
3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Removal
4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Removal
5. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL Removal
6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal
7. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH Removal
8. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK Removal
9. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL Removal
10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY Removal
11. DISCONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR TUBE (for Manual Transaxle) Removal
12. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
13. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Removal
14. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
15. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS Removal
16. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY





(a) Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the check valve.





(b) Remove the 4 nuts and remove the brake booster assembly.
NOTICE: Do not damage the brake tubes.

(c) Remove the gasket from the brake booster assembly.
(d) Loosen the push rod lock nut and remove the push rod clevis.





17. REMOVE BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the vacuum check valve from the brake booster assembly.
(b) Remove the grommet from the brake booster assembly.
