INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY




(a) Disconnect the F9 gauge connector.
(b) Check the meter indicator condition.
OK:





(c) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:





NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COMBINATION METER - FUEL SENDER GAUGE)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY




(a) Remove the fuel sender gauge assembly.
(b) Check that the float moves smoothly between F and E.
(c) Measure the resistance between terminals 2 and 3 of the gauge.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COMBINATION METER - FUEL SENDER GAUGE)
(a) Disconnect the C6 meter connector.




(b) Disconnect the F9 gauge connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
