SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Manual Transaxle)





(a) Remove the clip and castle nut.






(b) Install SST (spacer B) to the threaded section of the lower ball joint.
SST: 09960-20010
09961-02060
NOTE: Make sure the upper ends of the threaded section of the lower ball joint and SST (spacer B) are aligned.

(c) Using SST, separate the lower arm.
SST: 09960-20010

NOTICE:
- Make sure to tie the string of SST to the vehicle to prevent SST from dropping.
- Install SST so that A and B are parallel.
- Be sure to place the wrench on the part indicated in the illustration.
- Do not damage the lower ball joint dust cover.
- Do not damage the drive shaft outboard joint boots.
- Do not damage the front disc brake dust cover.





(d) Remove the 2 bolts and lower arm.

5. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Removal

7. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL Removal

8. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal

9. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH

12. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

13. POSITION WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
14. REMOVE COLUMN HOLE COVER SILENCER SHEET Removal

15. REMOVE STEERING SLIDING YOKE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE NO. 1 STEERING COLUMN HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

17. SEPARATE TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

18. SEPARATE TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: The removal procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.

19. SEPARATE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

20. SEPARATE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: The removal procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.

21. SEPARATE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

22. SEPARATE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: The removal procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.

23. SUSPEND ENGINE ASSEMBLY Removal

24. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal







25. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the bolt and lower arm.
26. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
