Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

METER: METER / GAUGE SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. CHECK DTC
(a) Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on and turn the tester on.
(c) Enter the following menu items: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Trouble Codes.
(d) Check for DTCs and then write them down.
HINT: Refer to the tester operator's manual for further details.

(e) Confirm the details of the DTCs .
2. CLEAR DTC
(a) Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on and turn the tester on.
(c) Enter the following menu items: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Trouble Codes.
HINT: Refer to the tester operator's manual for further details.

(d) Erase DTCs by pressing the YES button on the tester.
