ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. REMOVE ROCKER PANEL MOULDING COVER Removal

3. REMOVE SIDE MUDGUARD Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH






(a) Remove the 9 clips and 6 screws.
(b) Remove the 3 grommets and remove the front fender liner LH.
HINT: The grommet needs to be replaced with a new one because it will break when it is removed.

5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY






(a) Remove the 3 bolts and remove the hood lock assembly.






(b) Disconnect the hood lock control cable.
6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock control lever.
7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.









(b) Pull the cable from the engine compartment and remove it.
