DTC B1451 - Compressor Solenoid Circuit
DESCRIPTION
In this circuit, the compressor receives a refrigerant compression demand signal from the air conditioning amplifier.
Based on this signal, the compressor changes the amount of compressor output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT A/C COMPRESSOR (COMPRESSOR SOLENOID)
(a) Disconnect the C8 A/C compressor (compressor solenoid) connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
(c) Reconnect the A/C compressor (compressor solenoid) connector.
NG -- REPLACE A/C COMPRESSOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (A/C COMPRESSOR - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the C8 A/C compressor (compressor solenoid) connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
(c) Reconnect the A/C compressor (compressor solenoid) connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (A/C COMPRESSOR - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER)
(a) Disconnect the C8 A/C compressor (compressor solenoid) connector.
(b) Disconnect the G7 air conditioning amplifier connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
Result:
(d) Reconnect the A/C compressor (compressor solenoid) connector.
(e) Reconnect the air conditioning amplifier connector.
C -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
