BRAKE CONTROL: BRAKE ACTUATOR: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Testing and Inspection.
2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTE: Wash off brake fluid immediately if it comes in contact with any painted surface.
3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
4. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL Disassembly
5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH Removal
6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH Removal
7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER Removal
8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT UNIT RH Removal
9. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET
(a) Disconnect the actuator connector.
(b) Using SST, disconnect 6 brake tubes from the actuator.
SST: 09023-00101
(c) Place tags or marks to identify the installation locations of each brake tube.
(d) Remove the 2 bolts, nut and actuator with bracket.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the brake tubes and wire harness.
10. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 nuts and brake actuator from the bracket.
