Mobile Telephone Microphone Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the panel for the microphone (2) and the panel for the sliding sun roof control unit (3).
Release using a suitable tool (screwdriver).
2. Release the lens from the interior lamp (1).




3. Remove the front interior lamp holder.

* Remove the 2 bolts (1).
* Release the holders (4) all around.
* Release the wiring harness holder (2).
* Disconnect the wiring harness plug (3).




4. Remove the microphone.

* Disconnect the compact plug (1).
* Release and disconnect the wiring harness at the compact plug (arrow).
* Disconnect and remove the microphone (2).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the microphone.

* Install in the microphone.
* Connect the wiring harness plug.
* Connect the compact plug.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the interior lamp holder.

* Install the 4 retaining lugs.

Tighten the 2 screws to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).

* Connect the wiring harness plug into the holder.
* Connect and lock the 2 wiring harness plugs.

3. Install the panel for the sunshade actuation switch.
4. Install the microphone cover.
5. Install the lens for the front interior lamp.
