Circuit/System Description
The driver information center (DIC) displays important vehicle and entertainment system information. The displayed information includes the ambient air temperature, date, radio and clock. The DIC communicates with other vehicle systems via the serial data circuit.

Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the DIC.
2. Ignition OFF, test for less than 1 ohm of resistance between the ground circuit terminal listed below and ground.
* Terminal 1
* Terminal 2
• If greater than the specified value, test the appropriate ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
3. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates when connected between the B+ circuit terminal listed below and ground.
* Terminal 3
* Terminal 5
• If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the appropriate B+ circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the DIC.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
