Checking The SID







- Set the lights switch to the parking lights or headlamps position.
- Cover the photoelectric sensor on the SID.
- Alter the rheostat.

Test value: Instrument Lighting (Main instrument unit)







The reading should be: 25-99% (after rheostat position)

Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Continue with fault diagnosis on the SID.

YES - Final Check
