Checking the Ignition Discharge Module







Check visually that:
- the four rubber seals are intact
- the four contact springs are OK
- the connector is free from corrosion and moisture
- Rectify as necessary.







- Fit the test spark plug in the ignition discharge module.
- Ground the spark plugs.
- Position the ignition discharge module so that the spark plugs are inclined downwards and the oil in the ignition coils covers the HT outputs.
- Activate the ignition trigger by selecting automatic activation of the ignition coil for the misfiring cylinder. Choose from the following activation commands on the diagnostic tool:

Ignition Coil Cyl 1
Ignition Coil Cyl 2
Ignition Coil Cyl 3
Ignition Coil Cyl 4


- Select automatic activation.
- Check whether the relevant test spark plug produces a spark. If necessary, compare it by activating another ignition coil.

Is the function correct?

NO - Changing Components - II
