- Clear the diagnostic trouble codes in all systems.







Carry out a functionality test.
- Evaluate the functionality check.
- Check that the diagnostic trouble code has not recurred

Has the diagnostic trouble code recurred?

NO - The steps taken to rectify the fault were correct.

YES - 'Before Changing a Control Module'.
Experience has shown that the majority of control modules returned for warranty repairs are fault-free. In this case, the control module has not been diagnosed correctly. Check the following points before changing the control module.

Before Changing A Control Module:








1 Check all grounding points and the power supply to the control module.
2 Using the diagnostic tool, check that all readings are reasonable.
3 Using the diagnostic tool, check that all activations function.
4 If the fault persists, the control module must be replaced.

5 When handling the control module, it is important to ground yourself by touching the engine for example. Avoid touching the pins of the control module.
