Checking the Antenna Cable




Checking The Antenna Cable







Unplug the connector:
- Radio antenna connection main unit (353)

Unplug the connector:
- Electrically operated radio antenna (365)












Measure the resistance. The value should be infinite.

- 2 - Radio antenna connection, main unit
- Good grounding point

Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the reading correct?

NO - Changing Components - I

YES - Continue with Checking The Antenna Cable.

- 1 - Radio antenna connection, main unit
- 2 - Radio antenna connection, main unit

Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the reading correct?

NO - Changing Components - I

YES - Continue with Checking The Antenna Cable.












Take a resistance reading between

- 1 - Radio antenna connection, main unit
- 1 - Electrically operated radio antenna

The reading should be 0 Ohm - 2 Ohm

Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Changing Components - I

YES - Continue with Checking The Antenna Cable.












Take a resistance reading between

- 2 - Radio antenna connection, main unit
- 2 - Electrically operated radio antenna

The reading should be 0 Ohm - 1 Ohm

Checking the wiring harness

Is the function correct?

NO - Changing Components - I

YES - Changing Components - II
