Leaks in the induction and intake system can be detected by squirting strategic places with a starting spray. If there is a leak, engine speed will increase slightly when the starting spray works its way into the system.
Check the following points for leaks:
- gaskets
- hoses and hose connections
- joints and splices
- throttle body.
