Motors
Motors
The motors are controlled by the switches in the switch unit and are monitored by the PSM. When the motors are running, the control module detects the pulses from the Hall sensors which are used for programming. To change the direction of rotation of the motors, the motor poles are reversed.
The following motors can be controlled from the switch unit:
^ electric motor (357Da) moves the seat forward or back
^ electric motor (357Db) raises or lowers the seat front
^ electric motor (357Dc) raises or lowers the seat rear
^ electric motor (357Dd) changes the backrest rake.
Diagnostics
If the motor will not allow adjustment either manually or via the memory settings, the following diagnostic trouble code is generated (short-circuit to ground):
B2142 Motor, legroom adjustment
B2147 Motor, backrest
B2152 Motor, seat rear
B2157 Motor, seat front
