Checking The Ignition Discharge Module







- Fit the test spark plug (86 11 386) in the ignition discharge module.
- Ground the spark plug and cable assembly 86 10 867.
- Position the ignition discharge module so that the spark plugs are inclined downwards and the oil in the ignition coils covers the HT outputs.
- Activate:

Ignition Coil Cyl 1
Ignition Coil Cyl 2
Ignition Coil Cyl 3
Ignition Coil Cyl 4

- Check that sparks are produced by all the spark plugs.

Is the function correct?

NO - Checking and Rectification of Faults

YES - Continue With Checking The Ignition Discharge Module







Change all spark plugs.
