Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit. High Input.







Fault symptoms
Starting problems, deteriorated driveability and high fuel consumption. Diagnostic trouble codes often occur together with other diagnostic trouble codes. The CHECK ENGINE lamp comes on.

Conditions
If flow less then 0.45 gram/s with engine speeds up to 1000 rpm

or

The air flow is greater then 110 grams/s when engine speeds exceed 3600 rpm and the engine temperature exceeds 75 °C (168 °F).


NOTE: If the mass air flow sensor function ceases, the control module begins to take information from the throttle position sensor.
