Ground Connection
Ground.
The following pins are connected to ground at grounding point G37:
- Pin 55, outputs to the ignition coil module.
- Pin 6, outputs to the fuel injector.
- Pin 34, other actuating device outputs (idle speed control, etc.)
- Pin 28, other control module circuitry and power inputs.
The control module connectors are connected internally with each other. It will be possible to start the engine if any of these pins is connected to ground.
The screened leads of the following components are connected to ground at grounding point G37:
- All oxygen sensors
- The crankshaft position sensor
- The camshaft position sensor
Sensor Ground.
The following sensors are connected to ground via control module pin 71:
- Coolant temperature sensor and intake air temperature sensor
- Knock sensors and their screened leads
- Throttle position sensor
- Fuel tank pressure sensor
Connected to ground via control module pin 20:
- Crankshaft position sensor
Reference Ground.
Connected to ground via control module pin 45:
- Mass air flow sensor
Connected to ground via control module pin 46:
- All oxygen sensors
