Removal Procedure

1. Remove the camshaft intake and exhaust sprockets. Refer to Camshaft Intake Sprocket with Actuator Replacement (Camshaft Intake Sprocket with Actuator Replacement) and Camshaft Exhaust Sprocket with Actuator Replacement (Camshaft Exhaust Sprocket with Actuator Replacement).





Note: Extremely take care of contacting of camshaft surface. If damaged on the camshaft surface, engine oil could be leaked.

2. Remove the camshaft seal ring (1).

Installation Procedure





Note: Do not reuse the camshaft seal ring.

1. Install the camshaft seal ring (1) with new one.




2. Install the KM-422 - installer (3) with shims (2), with a total thickness of approximately 10 mm and tighten the camshaft bolt (1) manually.
3. Remove the KM-422 - installer.
4. Install the camshaft intake and exhaust sprockets. Refer to Camshaft Intake Sprocket with Actuator Replacement (Camshaft Intake Sprocket with Actuator Replacement) and Camshaft Exhaust Sprocket with Actuator Replacement (Camshaft Exhaust Sprocket with Actuator Replacement).
