Brake Pedal Travel

1. Start the engine.
2. Press the brake pedal (1) several times.
3. Hold the brake pedal with approximately 30 kg (66 lbs) of pressure.
4. Measure the brake pedal-to-floor clearance. If the clearance is less than 60 mm (2.36 inch), perform the following procedures:
- Inspect the drum brake linings. Refer to Brake Drum Inspection.
- Bleed the brakes. Refer to Brake Bleeding.
- Inspect the vacuum booster pushrod clevis length. Refer to Vacuum Brake Booster Replacement.Service and Repair
