DRIVE BELTS
Removal and Installation of Drive Belt Auto-tensioner
REMOVAL
CAUTION:
The complete auto-tensioner must be replaced as a unit, including the pulley.
1.Remove the RH front wheel and tire. Adjustment.
2.Remove the drive belt Removal and Replacement.
3.Remove the engine room cover.
4.Remove the engine coolant reservoir.
5.Support the engine and remove the engine mounting insulator and bracket (RH). Removal and Replacement.
6.Remove the drive belt auto-tensioner.
CAUTION:
- Do not loosen the auto-tensioner pulley bolt.
- Do not turn the auto-tensioner pulley bolt counterclockwise.
- If the auto-tensioner pulley bolt is turned counterclockwise for any reason, the auto-tensioner and pulley must be replaced as a unit.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
- If there is damage greater than peeled paint, replace drive belt auto-tensioner units
- Install the drive belt auto-tensioner carefully so not to damage the water pump pulley.
- Do not swap the pulley between the new and old auto-tensioner units
