POWER STEERING OIL PUMP

VQ35DE : Removal and Installation

NOTE:
When removing components such as hoses, tubes/lines, etc., cap or plug openings to prevent fluid from spilling.

REMOVAL

1.Partially drain power steering fluid.
2.Remove undercover using power tool.
3.Remove the fender protector side cover (RH). Coupe (Coupe), Sedan (Sedan).
4.Loosen drive belt. Removal and Replacement.
5.Remove drive belt from oil pump pulley.
6.Disconnect the power steering pressure sensor connector.
7.Disconnect the high pressure hose and suction hose from the power steering oil pump assembly. Refer to
17 Inch Tire or 18 Inch Tire.
8.Remove oil pump bolts, and then remove power steering oil pump. Exploded View.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation, bleed the air from the steering hydraulic system. Procedures.

CAUTION:
Do not reuse O-rings or copper sealing washers.
