SEATBACK : Removal and Installation


REMOVAL


CAUTION:
Remove seatback with seat cushion installed.
Seatback LH
1.Unlock seatback lock assembly.
2.Tilt seatback toward vehicle front, to the position where headrest can be removed, and then remove headrest.
3.Temporarily move seat cushion to the position where center anchor of center seat belts can be removed.
4.Remove center anchor mounting bolt of center seat belt, and then remove center anchor.
5.Return seat cushion to the normal position.
6.Fold seatback toward vehicle front.
7.Pull up seatback carpet, and then remove mounting bolts of seatback center hinge portion.
8.Remove luggage finisher mask. Refer to "LUGGAGE FINISHER MASK : Removal and Installation" Luggage Finisher Mask.
9.Remove mounting nuts of seatback side hinge portion.
10.Remove seatback from the vehicle.

CAUTION:
When removing and installing, use shop cloths to protect parts from damage.
Seatback RH
1.Unlock seatback lock assembly.
2.Tilt seatback toward vehicle front, to the position where headrest can be removed, and then remove headrests.
3.Fold seatback toward vehicle front.
4.Pull up seatback carpet, and then remove mounting bolts of seatback center hinge portion.
5.Remove luggage finisher mask. Refer to "LUGGAGE FINISHER MASK : Removal and Installation" Luggage Finisher Mask.
6.Remove mounting nuts of seatback side hinge portion.
7.Remove seatback from the vehicle.

CAUTION:
When removing and installing, use shop cloths to protect parts from damage.

INSTALLATION

Note the following items, and then install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:
- When removing and installing, use shop cloths to protect parts from damage.
- Install seat cushion to the vehicle, and then install seatback.
- Temporary tighten bolts, tilt seatback forward to the seating position. Check that seatback lock and striker do not interfere, and then tighten bolts to the specified torque.
