Valve Guide Seal: Service and Repair

REPLACEMENT
1. Remove rocker cover.
2. Remove camshaft. Service and Repair
3. Remove valve spring and valve oil seal with valve spring compressor kit J39773, or equivalent.

NOTE: The piston being serviced must be set at TDC to prevent valve from falling.








4. Apply engine oil to new valve oil seal and install it with oil seal drift tool No. J38955, or equivalent. Be sure to install the seal in the direction shown.
