REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
Do not apply grease or lubricant to the switch and the switch installation section to avoid malfunction of the switch. In addition, do not use gloves which have grease on them.













REMOVAL SERVICE POINT

[[A]] PARKING BRAKE REAR CABLE DISCONNECTION

Disconnect the parking brake rear cable according to the procedure below.

1. Release the parking brake, and loosen the adjusting nut.





2. Remove the floor console bracket rear mounting bolts.





3. Slide the floor console bracket rear, and disconnect the parking brake rear cable from the hole shown by the arrows.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT

CAUTION:
Check that the equalizer and the parking brake rear cable are connected correctly. If the parking brake is applied with the equalizer and the parking brake rear cable connected improperly, the equalizer may be damaged.

Connect the parking brake rear cable to the equalizer as shown in the figure.





2. Install the parking brake rear cable connection, and then tighten the floor console bracket rear mounting bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 9.5± 3.5Nm (84± 30 in-lb)
