DTC 92

DTC 92: Left Hand Side-Impact Sensor System for Fault 1

DTC SET CONDITIONS
These DTC are set if the followings are detected from the analog G-sensor inside the side impact sensor output.
- Analog G-sensor is not operating.
- Analog G-sensor characteristics are abnormal.
- Analog G-sensor output is abnormal.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
- Malfunction of side impact sensor (for DTC 92) and side impact sensor (for DTC 95)

DIAGNOSIS

Required Special Tools:
- MB991958: Scan Tool (MUT-III Sub Assembly)
- MB991824: Vehicle Communication Interface
- MB991827: MUT-III USB Cable
- MB991911: MUT-III Main Harness B

STEP 1. Recheck for diagnostic trouble code (Using scan tool MB991958, read the diagnostic trouble code).

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Replace side impact sensor (for DTC 92) and side impact sensor (for DTC 95).
3. Connect the negative battery terminal.
4. Erase the DTC memory, and then recheck the DTC.

Q: Is any of DTC 92 or 95 set?

YES: Replace the SRS-ECU.

NO: The procedure is complete.
