OPERATION
The injector is a solenoid valve injection nozzle which injects fuel according to the injection signal sent from ECU, being provided on the manifold of each cylinder and fixed with the delivery pipe. When electricity is flowed in the solenoid valve, the plunger is sucked. The needle valve is unitized with the plunger, and together with the plunger, the needle valve is pulled to the full open position to fully open the injection nozzle, thus fuel being injected.
Since the injection nozzle area is constant and the fuel pressure is constant to the pressure in the manifold, the injected amount is determined according to the time when the needle valve is opened, the time when the solenoid coil is energized. Here, on the Non-Turbo, the high-resistance type injector is adopted to surpress heat generation in the injector coil, and this eliminates the resistor.
