Fuel Door Release Actuator: Service and Repair

67 11 555 - Removing and installing/replacing servodrive for tank filler flap





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove left rear light Removing and Installing/Replacing Left or Right Rear Light





Disconnect plug connection (1).
Slacken screws (2) and slide servodrive for tank filler flap (3) upwards slightly and feed towards rear out of retaining plate (4).

Installation:
It must be possible to lock or unlock the fuel filler flap completely.

Remove servodrive for filler flap (3).





Turn sleeve (1) with a suitable tool approx. 45° in direction of arrow and pull out of receptacle (2).





Installation:
Slide sleeve (1) over tank filler flap locking pin (2).
Make sure sleeve (1) is correctly engaged in cover housing (3).





If necessary, unclip emergency actuator (1) in direction of arrow from servodrive for tank filler flap (2).
