Exhaust Pipe/Muffler Hanger: Service and Repair

18 21 051 - Replacing all exhaust suspension elements





Warning!
Danger of burning and other injuries!
These tasks should only be carried out on an exhaust system that has cooled down!





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear muffler or exhaust system Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear Muffler





Release screws (1) and remove reinforcement plate.
Remove rubber mount (2) from exhaust pipe and replace.
Tightening torque 18 00 4AZ [1][2]18 00 Exhaust Assembly.





Remove rubber mount (1) of rear exhaust suspension element and mountings and replace.





Note:
Always replace rubber mount if rear muffler mounting or rear exhaust suspension element is replaced.
