Fluid Pan: Service and Repair





24 11 012 - Removing and installing/sealing or replacing transmission fluid sump (AISIN)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
Secure engine in installation position Securing Engine in Installation Position with Special Tool (W10/W11).

Note:
After completion of work, check transmission fluid level Service and Repair.
Make a note of drained ATF quantity.
Required replenishment quantity approx. 4.5 liters.





Important!
Use only the approved automatic transmission fluid in this automatic transmission.

Otherwise the automatic transmission may incur extensive damage!
Do not drain fluid before the transmission has cooled down.





Release screws (1).
Remove fuse box (2).
Tightening torque 61 13 5AZ Specifications.





Release bolts (1) from bearing block.
Tightening torque 22 11 4/5AZ Specifications.





Release nut (1) from bearing block.
Tightening torque 22 11 1AZ Specifications.





Remove underbody protection (1).
Release screw (2).
Drain off transmission fluid.
Release screw (3).
Drain off transmission fluid.
Tightening torque 24 11 1AZ [1][2]Fluid Pan, A/T.

Installation:
Replace seals.





Twist sump tube (1) out of transmission fluid sump and drain remaining transmission fluid.





Raise engine and transmission with workshop jack (1).





Release bolt with Torx head (1).
Remove remaining mounting bolts from transmission fluid sump and remove sump.
Remove sump gasket.
Clean sealing surfaces.
Tightening torque 24 11 3AZ [1][2]Fluid Pan, A/T.

Installation:
Clean gasket.





Clean sump magnets (1) and insert in new transmission fluid sump.
Sump tube (2) at distance (A)
Screw 50.05-50.75 mm into new transmission fluid sump.
Fit oil drain plug with new seal.
Tightening torque 24 11 1AZ [1][2]Fluid Pan, A/T.

Important!
Do not tighten sump tube too tightly.
