Removing and Installing Power Steering Pump for Power Steering Gear (CVT)




32 41 030 - Removing and installing power steering pump for power steering gear (CVT)





Important!
Adhere to the utmost cleanliness.
Do not allow any dirt to enter the system.
Seal off line connections with plugs.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove and install fan for power steering Removing and Installing/Replacing Fan for Power Steering.

After completing tasks, bleed power steering Service and Repair





Recycling:
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.

Draw hydraulic fluid out of tank -> do not reuse.





Release hose clamp (1) and intake line.

Note:
Remove intake line with power steering pump and, while removed, disconnect intake line from power steering pump.





Release plug connector (1) and pull off.

Note:
Disconnect plug connection (2) in straight direction, otherwise damage may be caused.





Release screw (1) and disconnect pressure line.

Installation Note:
Tightening torque 32 41 3AZ Pump and Oil Supply





Unfasten screws (1).

Installation Note:
Tightening torque 32 41 1AZ Pump and Oil Supply





Slacken nut (1).

Installation Note:
Tightening torque 32 41 2AZ Pump and Oil Supply.
Replace self-locking nuts.

Remove power steering pump (2) with bracket.





When replacing power steering pump:
Release nuts (1) on all four rubber mounts.

Installation Note:
Tightening torque 32 41 10AZ Pump and Oil Supply

Release screws (2) and remove rubber mounts (3).

Installation Note:
Tightening torque 32 41 11AZ Pump and Oil Supply

Replace damaged rubber mounts (3).

Modify intake line.
