Brake Caliper Anchor Plate
Removal and Installation
1. WARNING: Before servicing a vehicle equipped with a fire suppression system, depower the system by following the procedure in Fire Suppression System. Failure to follow the instructions may result in serious personal injury Procedures.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the rear parking brake cable and conduit. For additional information, refer to Parking Brake and Actuation Parking Brake Cable - Rear.
3. Remove the axle shaft. For additional information, refer to Rear Drive Axle/Differential - Ford 8.8-Inch Ring Gear Service and Repair.
4. WARNING: Use tools, not fingers, to hold flagnuts. Flagnuts may slip or spin unexpectedly when removing fasteners. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injured fingers.
Remove the 4 retainers and the brake caliper anchor plate.
- To install, tighten to 68 Nm (50 lb-ft).
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

If equipped with a fire suppression system, repower the system.
