Pinpoint Test AI: The Air Bag/Safety Belt Warning Chime Is Inoperative

Normal Operation

The Lighting Control Module (LCM) sounds the air bag warning chime when it receives a chime request signal from the Restraints Control Module (RCM) through circuit 1083 (LB/PK).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

- LCM

PINPOINT TEST AI: THE AIR BAG/SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME IS INOPERATIVE

AI1 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED RCM DTCs FROM THE SELF-TEST


- Check for recorded RCM DTCs from the self-test.
- Are any DTCs present?

Yes
REFER to Supplemental Restraint System Testing and Inspection.

No
INSTALL a new LCM. REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules Service and Repair. TEST the system for normal operation.
