Test W: The Powertrain Malfunction (Wrench) Warning Indicator Is Never/Always On

PINPOINT TEST W: THE POWERTRAIN MALFUNCTION (WRENCH) WARNING INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ON

Normal Operation
The instrument cluster (IC) receives the powertrain status from the PCM over the controller area network (CAN). When a system concern is detected, the PCM sends the instrument cluster (IC) a command signal to illuminate the powertrain malfunction (wrench) warning indicator.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- PCM
- Instrument cluster (IC)
