Test M: The Keyless Entry Keypad Illumination Is Inoperative

Normal Operation
When any keypad button is pressed the smart junction box (SJB) sends power to the keyless entry keypad lamps on circuit CPK28 (WH) to assist the driver in entering an access code at night. The keyless entry keypad is grounded on circuit GD126 (BK/WH).

DTC B1623 - is a continuous DTC that sets if the SJB detects a short to ground on the keyless entry keypad illumination circuit CPK28 (WH).

Possible Causes
- Circuit CPK28 (WH) open or short to ground
- Circuit GD126 (BK/WH) open
- Keyless entry keypad
- SJB
