Normal Operation
The audio unit directs the audio signals to the speakers through separate positive and negative circuits for each of the 4 audio channels: LH front, RH front, LH rear, and RH rear. The audio unit provides internal circuit protection for shorts to ground or shorts to voltage. For vehicles with door tweeter speakers, the speakers are wired in series with the door speakers.
DTC B2965 - sets when a short to ground is detected on any of the speaker circuits. For all audio units except single CD, DTC B2965 also sets when an open circuit or short to voltage is detected.
Possible Causes
- Circuit RME07 (WH/BN or GY/BK) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit RME08 (GY/OG) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit RME09 (BN/YE) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit RME10 (WH/OG or YE/BK) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit RME11 (YE/OG) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit RME12 (BN/BU) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit VME07 (WH or GN/BK) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit VME08 (GN/OG) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit VME09 (BN/GN) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit VME10 (WH/VT or VT/BK) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit VME11 (VT/OG) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit VME12 (BN/WH) open, short to ground or voltage
