Test I: The Stoplamps Are Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST I: THE STOPLAMPS ARE INOPERATIVE

I1-I2:

I3-I5:

I5-I6:

Normal Operation - Freestyle and Five Hundred
Voltage is supplied to the stoplamp switch through circuit 1140 (VT). When the brake pedal is applied, the stoplamp switch routes voltage to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit 810 (RD/LG). The SJB then sends voltage to the stoplamps.

Normal Operation - Montego
Voltage for the stoplamp switch is provided by circuit 1140 (VT). When the brake pedal is applied, the stoplamp switch routes voltage signal to the SJB through circuit 810 (RD/LG). The SJB then sends voltage to the stoplamps through circuit 1374 (TN/LB).

Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit 810 (RD/LG) open or short to ground
- Circuit 1140 (VT) open
- Circuit 1374 (TN/LB) open
- Stoplamp switch
- SJB
