Test C: A Single Power Window Is Inoperative - RH Front
PINPOINT TEST C: A SINGLE POWER WINDOW IS INOPERATIVE - RH FRONTC1:
C1-C2:
C2-C5:
C5-C6:
Normal Operation
The RH front window control switch receives delayed accessory power through circuit 170 (RD/LB) when the window lock switch on the LH front window control switch is set to the UNLOCK position, and the delayed accessory feature is active. When the RH front window control switch is pressed to the DOWN position, the RH front window control switch receives ground from the LH front window switch through circuit 1505 (YE/RD). When operating the RH front window in the DOWN direction, the RH front window control switch supplies power to the RH front window motor through circuit 333 (YE/RD) and ground through circuit 334 (RD/YE).
When the RH front window control switch is pressed to the UP position, the RH front window control switch receives ground from the LH front window switch through circuit 1506 (RD/WH). When operating the RH front window in the UP direction, the RH front window control switch provides power to the RH front window motor through circuit 334 (RD/YE) and ground through circuit 333 (YE/RD).
RH Front Window Operation From LH Front Switch
When the RH front power window is operated in the UP direction from the LH front window control switch, power is sent to the RH front window control switch through circuit 1505 (YE/RD), which transfers power to the RH front window motor through circuit 334 (RD/YE). Ground is provided to the RH front window switch through circuit 1506 (RD/WH), which transfers ground to the RH front window motor through circuit 333 (YE/RD). When the RH front power window is operated in the DOWN direction from the LH front window control switch, power is sent to the RH front window control switch through circuit 1506 (RD/WH), which transfers power to the front window motor through circuit 333 (YE/RD). Ground is provided to the RH front window switch through circuit 1505 (YE/RD), which transfers ground to the RH front window motor through circuit 334 (RD/YE).
Possible Causes
- Circuit 170 (RD/LB) open
- Circuit 1505 (YE/RD) open
- Circuit 1506 (RD/WH) open
- LH front window control switch
- RH front window control switch
- RH front window motor
