Test A: No Communication With the Instrument Cluster
PINPOINT TEST A: NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTERA1-A2:
Normal Operation
The instrument cluster communicates interactively with other electronic modules using the communication network. With the ignition switch in the START or RUN position, the instrument cluster receives voltage from the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit 1566 (RD/YE). When the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACC position, voltage is received from the SJB through circuit 295 (LB/PK). With the ignition switch in the OFF position, the instrument cluster receives its keep-alive voltage from the SJB through circuit 483 (RD). The instrument cluster grounding is accomplished through circuit 1203 (BK/LB) and circuit 1205 (BK).
Possible Causes
- fuse(s)
- circuit 295 (LB/PK) open
- circuit 483 (RD) open
- circuit 1203 (BK/LB) open
- circuit 1205 (BK) open
- circuit 1566 (RD/YE) open
- instrument cluster
