Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS)

PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) PARAMETER RESET

NOTE: The instrument cluster and the powertrain control module (PCM) parameters are reset within the same security access session. DO NOT exit security access when selecting the second module for parameter reset. Exiting the security access session between modules will require a second 10 minute security access waiting period.

1. Connect the diagnostic tool.
2. Key in the ON position.
3. CARRY OUT the security access procedure for the instrument cluster/PCM.

4. NOTE: DO NOT carry out the ignition key code erase.

Enter the following mode on the diagnostic tool: Instrument Cluster Parameter Reset.

5. Remain in security access.
6. Enter the following mode on the diagnostic tool: PCM Parameter Reset.
7. Key in the OFF position.
8. Key in the ON position for a minimum of 3 seconds.
9. Enter the following mode on the diagnostic tool: CLEAR DTCs.
10. Key in the OFF position.
