Normal Operation
The central junction box (CJB) provides voltage to the multifunction switch through circuit 1039 (BK/YE). The voltage is then routed to the lighting control module (LCM) through circuit 385 (WH/RD). The LCM provides voltage back to the multifunction switch through circuit 44 (LB). When the multifunction switch is placed in the LH or RH TURN position, the voltage is routed to the LH or RH turn lamps.
If circuit 385 (WH/RD) or circuit 1039 (BK/YE) is shorted to ground, CJB fuse 16 (15A) fails and DTC B1873 is set.
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit 44 (LB) open
- Circuit 385 (WH/RD) open
- Circuit 1039 (BK/YE) open
- Multifunction switch
- LCM
