Normal Operation
Under normal operation, when the headlamps are turned to the autolamp position, the headlamp switch sends a ground signal to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit 1399 (DB/WH). When the light sensor detects a low light condition, ground from the sensor is sent to the SJB through circuit 1416 (YE/WH). Ground for the sensor is provided by circuit 1205 (BK).

Possible Causes
- An open in circuit 399 (DB/WH), 1416 (YE/WH) or 1205 (BK)
- A short to voltage in circuit 1416 (YE/WH)
- Headlamp switch
- Light sensor
- Smart junction box (SJB)
